Got pollution? be the solution - RECYCLE!

Rolling Wheels to Leh is an initiative to harness the power of fitness to increase public awareness and activism on today’s most important environmental issues of global warming and pollution.

It is scary to know...

  • India is a disaster prone area, in the year 2007-2008, India ranked the third highest in the world regarding the number of significant disasters
  • Nearly one lakh premature deaths happen annually due to air pollution in India.
  • According to a World Health Organisation (WHO) study, Delhi has surpassed Beijing and is currently the most polluted city in the world.
  • Presently, only about 10% of the waste water generated is treated; the rest is discharged as it is into our water bodies With a mission to cycle to re-cycle, we are doing our part to motivate people to save the environment through reuse and recycle.

A national recycling rate of 30% reduces greenhouse gas emissions as much as removing nearly 25 million cars from the road!! While the eco-footprint of each step is small, thousands of people doing the same thing can make a difference. With each pedal to the wheel that the rider strikes, we urge everyone to do their bit of recycling to protect the environment.

At GRR, we strongly believe in protecting and nurturing our environment every day. Let's Pedal up together in Rolling Wheels To Leh, Trans - Himalayan Cycling Expedition 2017 to realize the mission of replacing our Carbon Footprints with Eco Footprints!
